Cats are well known for their supple bodies and miraculous survivals, but this one leaves me dizzy! Audenshaw, Manchester resident Laura Gilholme’s 7 week old kitten called Poppet jumped into a washing machine in its typical naughtiness and was spinning around for about a whole hour. While the water wasn’t too hot at 50 degrees Celsius (or 122 degrees Fahrenheit) an entire 60 minutes of spinning around trapped in clothes is no easy feat to survive!
Poppet was discovered unconscious when Laura went to get the load of laundry out, and apparently one of the neighbours even tried mouth to mouth resuscitation (Seriously!). When all efforts to revive the beloved 7 week old kitten failed, they rushed her to a veterinarian (John Gunn) who brought her back to form.
What’s more astonishing is that ever since Poppet the naughty kitten went for a tumble in the dryer as soon as they got back from the vets!

Who would’ve spun such a tale of kittens?
